Too Dumb for a Gun: Man Arrested for Bronx Hospital Shooting

Image
Ok. How do I put this for best effect?  A man who opened fire in a Bronx emergency room striking another was arrested last night about 12 hours after the incident. The suspect, Keber Martinez was charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons after he shot another waiting for medical treatment at Jacobi Hospital.  Apparently, Martinez walked into the waiting room, recognized the victim and opened fire hitting him in the arm while dozens of medical staff, patient's and family members scattered. Cops remarked that catching the Mr. Martinez was like shooting fish in a barrel (no pun intended) as Mr. Martinez was not only videotaped in commission of the act but also HAD SIGNED IN USING HIS REAL NAME FOR TREATMENT OF ASTHMA! You really can't make this stuff up.

Image
LaSahwn "One -Eye" McNeil who shot dead two NYPD police officers himself succumbed from gunshot wounds to the arm and head delivered by a third officer at the scene of the 119 Street shooting in Harlem. Times like these I always remember what my uncle told me "Always talk good about the dead! Talk good about the dead! He's dead?  Good!"

NYPD: Subway "Shovings" May Be an Initiation Right by City's Gangs

Image
Police in New York City are perplexed by a rash of subway "shovings" (people shoved to the tracks in front of oncoming trains) over the past several months. Today another incident occurred where a man was shoved to the tracks in Lower Manhattan. Fortunately, the motorman was able to stop the train in time allowing the victim to scramble back up on the platform and escape serious injury. Many point to the homeless, especially the hoard of lunatics that have made the subway a sort of subterranean asylum, apparently able to run amuck freely without fear of being nabbed by authorities. Now I ride the subways daily and I can tell you it's scarier now than the mid 70's when the life expectancy of a subway rider was years less than a non-rider. At every stop there is at least one demented soul to be seen screaming, yelling, threatening so forth. I will only ride the front or the middle car where the motorman and conductor sit (not that I'm expecting them to intervene, bu...

One Police Officer Killed One Critically Injured in Harlem Shooting: It Shouldn't Have Happened

Image
Three police officers responded to a "domestic dispute" at 119 West 135 Street in Harlem. Within minutes one lay dead the other critically wounded and clinging to life by a man holed up in his mother's bedroom who, with a semi-automatic came charging from the room gunning down two of the officers before being shot by the third officer on the scene. The suspect's mother described her son, Lawshawn "One Eye" McNiel as having behavioral problems and posted anti-government and anti-police material on social media. Ok!!! Let's stop right there! The call came in as a domestic dispute and not as an EDP (emotionally disturbed person). If the call had originally come in as an EDP the officers arriving would have been more on their guard for potential violence. Plus a police sargent and the Emergency Service Units, who specialize in handling EDP calls would have been assigned on the backup. If the call had come in the correct context and proper protocal a...

As One Epidemic Slows Another takes Hold In NYC: Crime

Image
From the asphalt streets stained with the blood of New Yorks Finest (NYPD) to the subways and its ever-growing hoard of lunatics and psychotics whose sport is shoving people in front of trains, New York City is in the midst of a crime wave the likes of which hasn't been seen since the late 1980's and the CRACK wave that inundated the 5 boroughs with murder, mayhem and misery. From Bowling Green to Classon Point the City appears in the grip of a wave violence and crime that shows no signs of slowing but and only seems to be getting worse and worse. In this blog I seek to expose this hideous outbreak both by sharing stories from news outlets and incidents I happen upon in my daily rambling about this once great metropolis. So, lock your doors and windows and sit tight. This is not going to be pretty.
